  2. So the Detroit News decided to do a poll with Kennedy still included, and it showed Trump up 1% over Komrade Kamala. Meanwhile East Carolina U did a poll of NC and the best they could do was only show Trump up 1% there.

Lastly, someone actually paid money to poll MD, with the expected results. Harris up by 23%…This is SIGNIFICANTLY worse than Biden did in 2020, when he beat Trump by 33.2%.

North Carolina: East Carolina U. Trump 48% Harris 47%

    Michigan: Detroit News/WDIV-TV Trump 45% Harris 44%  Kennedy 5%

Maryland: Gonzales Research Harris 56%  Trump 35%

North Carolina Governor – East Carolina U. Stein 47%  Robinson 41%

Glengariff gonna be tossed out of the fake model for that Trump +1 in Michigan. 😂 Btw, Trump now leads in 2/2 Michigan native pollsters. He leads in both Epic MRA and Glengariff, neither of which ever had him ahead in 2016 or 2020.

  13. I am wondering how long Kamala can actually go without policy positions, and not taking interviews. Hardcore dems will vote for her. That is baked in. Trump haters will vote for her, thats baked in. But will the marginal Dem go to the polls to vote? How about the true independent. Will they want four to eight more years of the same thing and the fake accents?

I think Kamrade Kamala has been exposed. She is empty. which is why she was first one out of the primaries in 2020. Dems saw it then, why then not now?

  14. So where do we stand.

I think Trump is in better shape than he was in 2020 for the following reasons:

    1. His polling in swing states is better than 2020. Instead of being behind a few points hoping the MOE might pull it out for him he is actually tied or slightly leading in most of them.
    2. The fraud outlook is marginally improved. Only GA made significant changes but there will be (hopefully) more scrutiny this time around. NV has a R governor so some resources will be available to try to contain fraud there. On the other hand the fraudsters know what works. Marginally is the word.
    3. He has co-opted some heavy money/influencer/political players to his side. Musk, Ackman, Shanahan, Gabbard, RFK, etc.

    The negatives?

    1. Vance. Even if doesn’t cost Trump any votes he is not going to gain any.
    2. Lawfare. It is the Covid of 2024, something to keep bashing Trump with.
    3. Age. Trump is 78, running against a 60 yr old. It is not a plus.

  15. interestingly enough I thought the VP selections for both would matter a lot. Turns out that not only is it a wash, neither will have an effect on the outcome. It will be interesting to see them debate. I think Vance is going to chew him up and spit him out, but it still won’t matter on the top line.

  16. Betting site has Trump with a 28% chance of winning the popular vote vs. 71% for Kamala.

But remember Biden had a 7 million vote lead in 2020 if you believe it.

So the fact that this time around Trump is given almost a 30% chance of winning the popular vote means it is going to be a lot closer than that.

    Historically it does not.

Still, it would have been interesting to see if Youngkin would have put VA into play or if Rubio would have locked up NV and AZ and put NM in play.

  21. I guess you can say Vance has been a plus by not being a minus so far. I believe, as you do, that Youngkin would have been the perfect choice, followed closely by Rubio. Now that Kamala is the nominee, I am not so sure Haley would have helped as much as I had originally thought

  22. Yup, a plus by not being a minus.

Doltz is a minus. Shitpiro or the Ky Governor would have been stronger.

  23. Vic – I think Haley would also have been a better choice even with Kamala as the nominee. Right or wrong, the time of the 2 male GOP ticket is coming to an end. The Dems have had a mixed ticket 4 times. Didn’t work in 1984 and 2016. Worked in 2020. We’ll see about 2024.

Bitter – I can’t believe they came back to win that game. That sucks…though good to see the Blue Jays bullpen really sucks as we still have to play them.

The Mets could actually go 90-72 this year and NOT make the playoffs, even with three teams getting in, which is absurd since I think AZ won th eworld series with 84 wins. Such is life as a Mets fan.

However, this is nothing new…it has always been a part of HHR, almost from the beginning. The reason why it appears like it is all this place has become is because we used to have more regular contributors who posted polls and political insights and their presence made the blog seem more balanced.

This is the new normal at HHR. While I do not like it, I never did. I check in solely to see what, if any, new polls are posted. After I learned appealing to the better natures of some of the so called “A-holes” to quit the attacks, I realized that HHR has been the place they get to express themselves and is really the only reason why they post here. Folks, including Jan, just need to ignore the childishness and enjoy the very good parts of HHR or move on. Because those “A-holes” are NOT changing. It is who they are.

    In my opinion.”

She is a tiny cow, and gave birth to a calf that only weighed 1/4 of a pound.

    She named it Patty.

Cash Cow called a law firm to represent her in trying to stop giving the baby the name Patty.

Cash Cow will be represented by the law firm Schitz and Giggles.

  33. Vance has been fantastic on every show he has gone on. The VP candidate has to be able to defend the Presidential candidate. He has done a fantastic job of that!

Youngkin may not have been the best person for that, as their styles are markedly different, and as a Governor, is used to making final decisions, not carrying them out.

As for Haley – ugghhh, that voice!

Rubio – solid, but glad he will stay in Senate. Maybe next time. Or in 2036 after 8 years of Vance, DeSantis or Youngkin?? Still only 53!

  38. Meanwhile, I have a friend in south Florida who, after being diagnosed with leukemia, listened to the “experts” and his doctors, who put him on an intense chemo regimen that has him in the hospital with several different issues, one of them which is failing kidneys. Just this past June, he was participating in weekly pickleball tournaments. Now, not sure if his 3 year old will have his Dad at his next birthday. We got some good news today, hopefully that will be the start of a recovery. Praying it is so!

  42. I am pro-choice when it comes to medical advice. Doctors are not god, GOD, or G-D.

Neither are chiropractors, holistic shamans, midwives, etc etc etc.

BUT, I do know that “doctors” like Fauci (jason’s hero) who, along with their government friends, will censor anyone who departs from the government-approved method of operation, and as we see way too often these days, medial universities, medical organizations and hospitals themselves will simply roll over and abide by the government dictates.
