I did not watch all of the interview because I was watching the Phillies come back from a 4-0 deficit to win 5-4!
Let me say this clearly for Tina. I was not impressed by the interview. People who support Harris will say she did great. I do not support Harris.
I thought she looked tired.
Dana Bash did ask good questions BUT she did not follow up when Harris dodged. My wife, who is normal and not obsessed with politics, repeatedly said “She didn’t answer the question.” My wife is an excellent lawyer and would have shredded Harris.
I don’t think the interview changed anything. Do you hear that, Tina? It did not help Harris. I don’t know why Walz was even there.

JeffP, DJT hasn’t decided how to vote on Amendment 4 in FL. What he did say to that NBC reporter was:
“When an NBC News reporter asked Trump how he would vote on Florida’s abortion amendment, Trump reiterated that he thought the six-week cutoff was too short. When the reporter followed by asking Trump if that meant he would be voting for Amendment 4, that’s when Trump said he would be voting that “we need more than six weeks.”

Personally, I think Florida was extremely silly to make such a law. They should have stuck with the same parameters as the Mississippi law, or close to it, and then added certain things like patients should get a sonogram or something done beforehand.
Abortion is an extremely emotional issue. Government has set some rules up (15 weeks)m after that it should be left to private charities and such entities to try to change hearts and minds. The goal would be to move the populace closer and closer to a pro-life position with incremental steps, otherwise people will just rebel against those who would be more restrictive, and of course the Democratic party will use it as a cudgel against Republicans.

Also personally – I have advised 2 women in my life to go to term with a child, and if they were unable to to care for it, put the child up for adoption.
One person didn’t take my advice, one did.
It took the one who didn’t another 15 years to have a child, ruined her first marriage, gave her years of depression for killing the one.
The one who did take my advice has a 25 year old daughter who last I heard was an RN already and doing great.

While it will be important, no doubt, and I hope Trump is well-prepared and on good behavior like the last one, it’s not even September yet. I think Harris will have to get out there more than she wants to, as she needs to prove that she can handle the pressure. She already looks like it is having an affect on her appearance.

On the plus side today, my wife, bless her heart, figured how to put my e-tickets on my phone so the can be scanned at the parking lot and the Nats baseball game tomorrow. It only took about 40 minutes. I said this is probably the last time I will go through all this electronic gizmo hocus pocus to get tickets to attend a pro baseball game. It used to be easy. Email came, I opened and printed the barcoded tickets I bought. Easy peasy. NOW it all has to be done with “your electronic device” to enter the ball park you have to use your “electronic device (cell phone)” to scan into some gizmo to enter the ballpark. So I guess if you do not have a smart phone, you cannot see a game in person? Bastards.

If pro-life voters are silly enough to get pissy about Trump answering honestly how he feels about a Florida issue, and then stay home because of it, than they are idiots.
I am pro-life, but I am also for limited government. I don’t want government banning abortion. I want to convince hearts and minds that abortion is the wrong answer to a challenging situation women may find themselves in at one time or another, and to show them the various options which are available to them and for the children that they would bring into the world. Hopefully, within the next generation or 2, pro-lifers will be successful enough that abortion will end up being as rare as an honest media interviewing a Democratic candidate for President.

Vice President Kamala Harris continues to trail former President Donald Trump even after the Democratic National Convention (DNC), according to a Rasmussen Reports poll.
The poll, published on Thursday, finds that 48 percent of the 1,893 likely voter respondents back Trump, placing him two percentage points above Harris at 46 percent. Three percent of respondents are undecided.
Independents are breaking for Trump over Harris by an eight-point margin of 49 to 41 percent, while each candidate is backed by 82 percent of their party’s voters.
The margin of error (MOE) is ± three percentage points, and the poll was conducted on August 22, the last day of the DNC, and August 25-28.
