No one here supports Putin or his invasion. But, there are some here who see an endless war as being more futile than helpful in restoring normalcy to a country under siege for years.
The sophomoric strategies are hilarious, however. Bitter wants to shame me for “allowing Kamala to win”. DW wants to belittle my position by claiming it is a “hasty ultimatum”. Janzam thinks “haranguing” is counterproductive, new arguments are needed.
How about a novel idea? Trump picking someone who doesn’t adopt Ron Paul’s foreign policy agenda?
Maybe he figured there are more Bunus than jasons?
Ok, we all get it. We know where each side falls on the Ukraine issue, and according to both sides here at HHR, there is no gray area…period.
So, with that said, can we move on. This Putin loving, forever war, yes aid should be unlimited forever, aid should never go not even one penny to Zelinsky crap is exhausting.
We are fighting for the future of our country, for the kind of country our children, or our childrens children are going to grow up in. Kamala Harris is an immediate threat to everything this country has stood for for the last 250 years, and her election signals a dramatically increased shift (speed wise) into the downfall of this country.
Can we PLEASE concentrate on what we agree one. We have three and a half years to argue about how sh*tty we think each other are after the election
“I’ll admit I used to kind of roll my eyes when people claimed that President Trump was being “persecuted.” I was looking at it through the distorted filter of the media. Well, I just completed my first cross-examination in our second New York Ballot Access case, where the DNC-aligned PAC attorneys questioned me like a criminal. OK, I get it now. Our justice system is clearly being co-opted and abused by nefarious people with malevolent political agendas.”
Until the Dems intolerable policies effect someone personally they will remain stuck in their ignorance believing what the corporate media says to be true.
I find it funny that Bitter wants to hold Trump accountable for his words, his positions, and his lifestyle but doesn’t think he should be accountable for whom he picks for VP.
IF Trump loses the election because JD Vance lost him more votes than gained (still to be determined) then the fault lies with Trump himself, not the voters.
If, using Bitter’s favorite example, Trump loses PA by one vote, it won’t be my fault, it will be his.
He picked Vance because he wanted a yes man, rather than someone who would add to his base. That is on him.
If it works out he gets the credit. If it doesn’t, he gets the blame.
A lot of Silicon Valley liberals have seen the light like Shanahan. It has helped Trump financially. But I imagine the majority are still supporting Kamala.
But was a MONTH long poll, 7/28-8/28 against only 400 likely voters.
and the raw party ID started out at D64 / R20 / I16. Full Stop. Its garbage right there and they should not have tried to salvage it. But they reweighted to D55 / R30 / I15 and they got a tie out of it.
As Bongino says, “Big people do big things” and “Little people do little things.” Voting for Trump isn’t even a big thing, it is the only logical thing to do.
Taking your toys and going home because you didn’t get your way….it doesn’t make you “Big people”
I haven’t heard one thing from Vance that suggests he embraces an isolationist agenda.
Show me any evidence that Vance embraces an isolationist agenda.
I personally think most things will stay the same whether Harris or Trump win. However, one thing will be different. Ukraine will be hung out to dry if Trump wins. Harris will continue to support Ukraine fully. I’ll throw my support to Harris. No surprise.
Unfortunately, there is very little we agree on, let’s get real.
The R party has been taken over by isolationists and populists. Whether this was good or bad for the future of the party is still to be determined, but I myself have made the point the “traditional” suburban based GOP could not survive if it did not become a working class party with a populist message. So it’s not that I ignore reality.
But there is no place for people like me who were attracted to the GOP as the party of limited government, free trade, free enterprise, free markets, personal responsibility and the will to protect our interests wherever, whenever, and whatever it took. Neither Trump nor Vance have any interest in these ideals and neither do most GOP voters.
Some people here like to pretend we are all on the same side, really, but we aren’t.
I seriously doubt Vance is losing votes as more people hear and get to know him. Also, there are so many more issues of importance at stake in this election, other than Ukraine. To put your vote on the line for one issue alone is beyond having tunnel vision. However, tunnel vision does describe one or two people posting here. In the meantime the Harris/Walz deception show finally gets an interview tomorrow on CNN. Hopefully people will see through their dishonest performance.

“You still have not provided proof that Vance has an isolationist agenda”
LOL
The proof is every speech he gives. The proof is just about every vote he took in the Senate. The proof is his Ron Paul foreign policy agenda, which Vic correctly framed as based on cowardice.
if you don’t think Vance is a an isolationist, you have blinders on.
I wanted Youngkin. Had Trump picked Youngkin, Virginia would be in Trump’s column right now. Instead he picked Vance. I don’t like it. Now its doing things the hard way. But I am still going to vote for Trump to avoid Harris/Walz.
And yes, Big people understand the world in which they live and vote to better it. Little people throw tantrums and take their toys and go home and leave shaping the world to others.
”Some people here like to pretend we are all on the same side, really, but we aren’t.”
Looking for perfection usually leaves you wanting and getting very little in return. Even Reagan applied a ratio of being satisfied with a percentage of what he initially asked for. And, when you compare the choices for 2024, there is virtually nothing appealing about Harris/Walz, while the alignment of issues Trump/Vance stands for are anchoring our constitutional, inalienable rights, securing peace, and supplying opportunity for all. Walking away from that is foolish.
And btw, the Big Person above claimed Trump is better than Kamala on a lot of issues.
I don’t disagree. Kamala is a Marxist who does want to transform the US into a one party state.
But I do disagree that Trump is a defender of limited government, free trade, free enterprise, free markets, personal responsibility and of American interests around the world.
Okay, that google search returned something from Euronews, Euroctiv, and Time Magazine with the headline “Why Donald Trump and J.D. Vance Aren’t Really Isolationists”
Then there is National Review not surprisingly trying hard to say he’s an isolationist, and then a Newsweek headline that says, “For All the Talk of ‘Isolationism,’ Vance Beats the Drums of War”
Bottom line is there is a balance to strike between protecting our own interests in isolation and spending ourselves into oblivion trying to be the world-wide police force.
Vance might draw the line on that balance in a slightly different place than you jason, but that doesn’t mean he has an isolationist agenda. If he became president and had to go to war, he would do it. But this issue is only ONE of many issues, and on this issue, Vance is light-years ahead of the Harris/Walz. But there is still no evidence that HE has an isolationist agenda.
retllawAugust 28, 2024 at 1:42 pmThe Geek Squad declared they THINK my laptop is dead. And they are not sure if they can retrieve my files and documents (despite my showing them I can open a task bar using F12). So I bought a Chromebook. Then he says “if we COULD have gotten them, there is no way possible for us to have transferred the files FROM the old one TO the Chromebook.” NOW he tells me…Not real happy with my Chromebook yet.Best Buy guy sells me the Chromebook, plus a Windows Home Office for $179 that the Geek Squad guy in the same building says he will install for me. Take the Chromebook to the Geek guy and he suddenly remembers that Windows Home Office (and Word) cannot be installed in the Chromebook. (Chromebook has a DIFFERENT system that allows me to type documents.)Have to unwind my purchase of Home Office. Clerk at returns station 10 feet away says they don’t do refunds of Microsoft Office purchases, I will have to take it up directly with Microsoft. I protest politely. Said that guy there (pointing to sales clerk who just walked by) sold me the Windows Office because he said it could be installed on the Chromebook. That other guy over there (Geek Squad guy 10 feet away) says it cannot be installed. Manager is called, refunds my purchase, clerk who sold it to me says “my bad, I did not know that.” All is good.

Jason, I am aligned with you on 98% of the issues. Bitter, I am aligned with you on 98% of teh issues, DW, I am aligned with you on 98% of the issues, Walt…well I defer to him in all given his experience since the dawn of time…Tina, I like, and I think secretly we are aligned on 95% of the issues, Jan probably 90%+…etc etc etc
I believe independents are leaning more towards Trump. Women are a tough group because of how abortion has been so distorted by Dems. However, those women concerned about economics, puberty blocking drugs, kitchen table issues tend to eventually side with republicans.
The premise that if you don’t support endless $$ to the Ukraine means you are automatically an across the board “isolationist” isn’t something I buy into. We don’t have endless resources. They need to be allocated carefully. Priorities.
you said he has an “isolationist agenda.” Please provide me the link to his Agenda web page where he outlines his “Isolationist Agenda.”
Or maybe its just that he draws the line in a little different place than you. If he doesn’t have this Isolationist Agenda outlined somewhere, then I see no point in calling him an Isolationist just because he wants to pull back on the spending.
In an interview this week with Bloomberg Businessweek, Trump said Taiwan “should pay us for defense,” according to a transcript released by the media outlet Tuesday. The former president also suggested that the US would struggle to defend the island because of distance, saying “Taiwan is 9,500 miles away. It’s 68 miles away from China.”
“JD Vance is most anti-Ukrainian Senator in the US. Aside from his 100% anti-Ukrainian voting record, he goes above and beyond to promote Russian narratives: Ukraine cannot win, Ukraine should cede land to end the war, Ukraine is corrupt and the US is writing it blank checks. He went as far as repeating the fake story about Zelensky’s yacht.”
Picking Vance probably keeps Trump alive. Less of a chance the power elites have Trump assassinated if Vance is VP. Kill Trump and they’ll have a similar President who will also get in their way. Had he picked a Nikki Haley or someone like her they’d have every incentive to have Trump taken out. She and people like her are one of them.
“Alaska’s own Sarah Palin is back in the news. On Wednesday, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals granted her request for a new trial in her defamation suit against the New York Times over a 2017 editorial that incorrectly linked her to a mass shooting.”
Post of the day from Phil. It’s un checked and nobody can tell you what went to the grifter, or to the military, or ended up in the hands of a third party.
The premise that if you don’t support endless $$ to the Ukraine means you are automatically an across the board “isolationist” isn’t something I buy into. We don’t have endless resources. They need to be allocated carefully. Priorities.
Nah, you don’t have to give away the prize you worked so hard to earn.
Saying Vance has an “isolationist agenda’ is not much different that the other side saying the “neo-cons love war, more war, and forever wars!”
You slap a hyperbolic label on the potential veep candidate, and then when he was picked, you pack up your toys and go home. Big people do big things, and little people do little things.
Here is a key to accounting for the military aid to Ukraine. Every dead or maimed Russian soldiers and destroyed Russian vehicles, aircraft, and vessels confirms that U.S. aid was used for its intended purpose.
Yeah, it’s a tough call. If you have Jason’s reservations about Trump’s foreign policy or protectionist trade policies I can see withholding my vote. On the other hand, I see Bitter’s view as well. Harris is such a disaster on the border, taxes, the military, wokeness, fracking, green new deal (the list goes on and on) she has to be stopped even if you have to hold your nose and vote for Trump. That’s where I come off. Different strokes though. Of course, it doesn’t make that much difference how I vote in my state one way or the other. Texas is red.
I absolutely agree Putin is 100% responsible for this war. He is evil. He is 100% responsible for 100% of every man, woman and child in Ukraine who has been killed in this war. Putin is 100% responsible for every Russian man, woman and child so senselessly killed.
I support spending to end Putin’s war, as it seems abundantly obvious to me that he’s trying to rebuild the Soviet Union, and its in the world’s best interest to stop him.
Others disagree entirely or in part, but this issue is but ONE issue among numerous issues that will be directly impacted by this election. I can agree to disagree on this issue. But saying that Vance has an isolationist agenda, means that there is an agenda. If that agenda exists, it should be documented, something I can sit down and read. If its just that Vance doesn’t want to spend in Ukraine, I would personally disagree, but I wouldn’t accuse him of having an isolationist agenda any more than I would accuse supporters of Ukraine funding of loving wars and wanting endless wars.
BTW, women who are going to the polls because abortion is their number one issue, also are in full support of puberty blocking drugs, child sex change, and the entire “agenda”
“I haven’t heard one thing from Vance that suggests he embraces an isolationist agenda.”
-DW is exactly right, of course, as jason hasn’t linked to Vance’s words, including the context in which he stated them, to show that he is an “isolationist”.
It’s the same crap jason traffics about Trump being an “isolationist” now, and in 2016. He does not show the proof, he just repeats it over and over.
I have asked repeatedly – what overseas interests has Trump relinquished which is proof that he is actually an isolationist?
jason has not responded at all to the above.
I actually gave him some help in the past, mentioning Trump withdrawing some troops from Syria and allowing Russia to go in there with the Wagner Group mercenaries. Some could make an argument that it was wrong to do that, BUT, I would not consider it a move of an isolationist, to withdraw from an area without clear objectives, to place more emphasis on Saudi Arabia, Israel, and the countries who were willing to participate in the Abraham (Benjamin, for “CG”) Accords.
I support aid to Ukraine. I also know that UKR cannot win in the sense that aside from inflicting terrible casualties on the Russian army and perhaps pushing the invaders back to the borderlands, it lacks the resources – both in men and materiel – to take the war deep into Russia and occupy large Russian cities and industrial zones. Thus, Putin will never be truly defeated, only held back, by Zelensky; Putin’s defeat has to come from within, and if that hasn’t happened by now, I don’t think it’s likely. This last distinction is important. If, and its a big IF, an agreement can be negotiated whereby UKR is left largely intact and Russia can get a few face saving concessions (but not things that will aid them later to restart the war), then such a course should be charted. Sustaining the war when it can only grind further into stalemate helps no one, and kills just as many Ukrainians as it does Russians (and as usually is the case, there are more Russians than their opponents). If anyone could plausibly negotiate such an agreement, it’s going to be Trump since the Dems don’t care how many dead wind up on either side, they now have a reason to wrap the American flag around themselves and proclaim that they are patriotic after years of hating the military and the use of force.
Typed in “Vance isolationism” – getting opinion pieces from WPO, NY Times, NPR, Politico, etc.
Did find this – “He has championed legislation to bolster oversight of the Pentagon’s end-use monitoring program for weapons sent to Kyiv since the war with Russia began in February 2022. And he has said repeatedly that Europe needs to play a greater role in its own security.”
Yup, he is an “isolationist”…..of course, that is different from an isolationist. Imagine a Senator worrying about how we spend American tax $$$!
agenda: a list, plan, outline, or the like, of things to be done, matters to be acted or voted upon, etc.:”
Zzzz……voodoo semantics.
If Vance says he “doesn’t care what happens to Ukraine” and votes always to deny aid, and says he is against aid, it is perfectly fine to say he has an anti-Ukraine agenda.
Greta/jason now saying Vance has “anti-Ukraine agenda” instead of writing “he is an isolationist”….next thing we know, Kamala will want to BUILD THE WALL!
words have meaning. The dictionary documents common usage. Common usage says that “agenda” is a list, plan or outline. If its true that somewhere Vance said he “doesn’t care what happens to Ukraine” and that wasn’t taken out of context, then he’s wrong. We all should care about Ukraine, the question of funding aside. But saying that is no reason to withhold your vote for Trump.
“Oh wait, he just “signed” those trillion dollar boondoggles.”
-Legislation/”boondoggles” passed by how many congressional Republicans?
Our government has checks and balances. I’ve said repeatedly, both Trump, and Bush from 2001-2009, should have vetoed MANY of the bills sent to them by Republican congresses.
Trump and Bush did not write the bills themselves…….but you already know that.
Get off the train at Dog Whistle, PA, Greta.
Vote for Trump/Vance or vote to abdicate responsibility, like a child running home to mommy.
If JD Vance didn’t say ““I’m going to be honest, I don’t really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another” i give $1000 to a charity of your choice.
If he did say it, you donate $1000 to the York Co. ASPCA.
“If to be big person like DW you have to have your head up Putin’s ass, no thank you.”
after I said THIS:
“I absolutely agree Putin is 100% responsible for this war. He is evil. He is 100% responsible for 100% of every man, woman and child in Ukraine who has been killed in this war. Putin is 100% responsible for every Russian man, woman and child so senselessly killed.”
you can’t make this stuff up!
You are a little person because you stand aside and let the country go into marxism because you didn’t get your way on the veep pick.
“I absolutely agree Putin is 100% responsible for this war. He is evil. He is 100% responsible for 100% of every man, woman and child in Ukraine who has been killed in this war. Putin is 100% responsible for every Russian man, woman and child so senselessly killed.”
JD Vance:
“I’m going to be honest, I don’t really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another”
jason wants to make a bet about 1 thing somebody said, as opposed to actually showing evidence as to why he is accusing someone of being an isolationist.
Dog Whistle, PA next stop! Check your b*llsheot before you get off!
Appreciate you voting downballot for all of the other candidates.
Of course, if Harris/Walz get in, they will be neutered by dictates sent down to them from their rulers…….but at least you got to define “isolationist” in your own way.
but at least you got to define “isolationist” in your own way.”
This is true.
I define an isolationist as someone who views the world from an extremely narrow viewpoint and is naive and unaware of the threats our enemies pose, and fails to understand America is not an economic island, and that without global trade and at least a measure of global stability which America as a superpower has traditionally enforced, there will be no peace and prosperity here either.
I believe JD Vance fits that “definition”.
I think that anyone that disagrees has not really listened to his speeches and followed his votes.
I feel like I’m in the twilight zone, and yes Bitter, I realize this is HHR1.0 for the past 16+ years but holy cow…talk about getting hung up on semantics. Lol
worst part is everyone here is equally aligned with believing Konrad Kamala is bad for the country
No, I said a BIG person does the right thing and votes for Trump to stop marxism, even with reservations against either him or his veep. Whether or not you believe Vance is an isolationist has nothing to do with whether or not you are going to vote to stop marxism. But you have already said which side you are on. You aren’t going to try to stop marxism.
jason you didn’t just say he was an isolationist, you said he has an isolationist agenda. I am still waiting for the link to his web page where that agenda is outlined.
I believe this is a good definition that goes beyond the word isolationist the way it’s been used
I define an isolationist as someone who views the world from an extremely narrow viewpoint and is naive and unaware of the threats our enemies pose, and fails to understand America is not an economic island, and that without global trade and at least a measure of global stability which America as a superpower has traditionally enforced, there will be no peace and prosperity here either.
here. People are defining isolationism as not supporting unlimited funding to Ukraine. Your definition is way more accurate and traditional
your definition is why I have, and had, reservations about Vance and I hope he comes ours and demonstrates he does not follow the definition. You gave.
“Effective July 2025, teacher licensing rules passed last year in Minnesota under Democrat Gov. Tim Walz will ban practicing Christians, Jews, and Muslims from teaching in public schools. Walz is now the presidential running mate of current U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris. His resume includes a stint as a high school social studies teacher who sponsored a student queer sex club in 1999.”
jason, go back and read it. I ASKED if that quote was legit and if it was in context, and admitted freely that if he said it and it was in context, he was wrong. That doesn’t mean he has an isolationist agenda. I never said “the quote doesn’t exist” those are YOUR words, not mine.
His agenda is isolationism, meaning he believes in it and if he is in office he will promote it.
However, the reason you are whining about the definition is exactly because it has a negative connotation.
So for the same reason that Kamala does not publish a Marxist agenda on her website, JD Vance is not going to say “I am an isolationist” on his website.
But he has an isolationist agenda just like Kamala has a Marxist agenda.
your definition is why I have, and had, reservations about Vance and I hope he comes ours and demonstrates he does not follow the definition. You gave.”
Come on, Vic, the reason you have “reservations” is because you think he IS an isolationist.
Tina:
I didn’t read the link. But I assume Muslims can bow to Mecca in the teacher break room. They just can’t in the classroom. That’s how it is at the public school’s in Illinois as well.
Like Vic, I have never once been a Vance cheerleader. Quite the opposite. I wanted Youngkin. But I don’t always get what I want, so I could either pack up my toys and go home, or I can vote to get what I can and stop Marxism. My biggest beef with Vance is his overall lack of experience, but I have yet to see his “isolationist agenda”
But to throw away my chance to stop Harris/Walz is unthinkable. I voted for McCain to stop Obama, even though I despise McCain. I voted for Romney too even though I cannot stand him.
This election is our last chance. One-party socialist rule will be the result if Trump fails.
I also will assume that a teacher could read the Bible in the class room during downtime. But they can’t read the Bible out loud unless it is perhaps a comparative religious studies class.
Where is the agenda? An agenda is a list or outline by definition. Newt Gingrich published the contract with America. It was an agenda one could read. From wiki: “The Contract with America was a legislative agenda advocated by the Republican Party during the 1994 congressional election campaign.”
Please provide the link to Vance’s isolationist agenda.
He called Trump an “isolationist” back in 2016, and still does, despite the 4 years of his Presidency showing that was WRONG, in a big way.”
LOL
Trump for 4 years implemented stupid tariffs and trade wars on a self defeating trade policy borrowed from the failed AFL-CIO agenda of the last 70 years.
So, China is waiting for the right time to invade Taiwan. Likely won’t be for a few years. When the time comes, will all agree to defend Taiwan. Or is Taiwan worth a major war.
I do have reservations about Vance because the things I have read, and his quotes from the past align with the Ron Paul foreign policy, or lack therefore. I hope he has changed and voices that change. He has yet to discuss foreign policy since being nominated.
despite that. I will vote for the ticket because I can not fathom a Harris administration. It will be decimating for the country
yeah, that’s exactly what one says if one is unfamiliar with a particular quote and is conceding the point, but not wanting to concede if there is a chance it was taken out of context. I conceded that Vance was wrong if he said he didn’t care about Ukraine and if that statement wasn’t taken out of context. Not sure what’s so hard for you to understand about this.
Like I said earlier, I am fine with moving on from how I will vote. In my view everyone should vote their conscience and follow their best judgment with the information they have available on the candidates at the time.
But if someone wants to bring it up, I will be happy to respond.
conceded that Vance was wrong if he said he didn’t care about Ukraine and if that statement wasn’t taken out of context. Not sure what’s so hard for you to understand about this.”
Wow, the Big Person is really being a dishonest jerk.
There is no “IF” here.
If you think there is an “if” or that I quoted it out of context, take the bet.
I am still not voting for a ticket with JD Vance, whether his isolationist agenda has a published list or whether it is just the meme of his speeches, interviews and votes.
I have an idea there are other conservatives and independents that feel the same way, but Janzam assures us this is not the case, Indies are “moving” to Trump. We will see.
jason is the dishonest one here. Putting words in my mouth and then demand I defend them. Once again, my comment:
—
If its true that somewhere Vance said he “doesn’t care what happens to Ukraine” and that wasn’t taken out of context, then he’s wrong. We all should care about Ukraine, the question of funding aside. But saying that is no reason to withhold your vote for Trump.
—
That is exactly what someone says when one hasn’t heard that particular quote and is conceding the point, if its true and in context.
Anyone with a high-school reading comprehension level can see that.
I did not weasel out of any bet jason. I have supported Ukraine all along, and did so in conceding that if Vance said that he did not care about Ukraine that he was wrong.
I never said that Vance didn’t say that jason. That is abundantly clear by my quoted words:
“If its true that somewhere Vance said he “doesn’t care what happens to Ukraine” and that wasn’t taken out of context, then he’s wrong. We all should care about Ukraine, the question of funding aside. But saying that is no reason to withhold your vote for Trump.”
Those are clearly the words of concession, as anyone with reading comprehension can attest to. THEN HE’S WRONG cannot be clearer. In English grammar, this is an IF/THEN statement. The THEN side of the equation (He’s wrong) is true when the condition is met. The condition was Vance saying this about Ukraine. I never denied or questioned that he said it. I hadn’t heard this quote before. And so I conceded the point, with the caveat, or condition of the truth of the assertion he said it.
Remember when the free passers said Macaroni was a conservative?
”On Monday, French President Emanuel Macron tweeted out about Durov’s arrest and detention in prison. Macron insists it’s “not politically motivated” and that France really, truly is committed to freedom of expression – if it is approved by the tyrannical government.”-nbc
Nowhere in my quote would any reasonable person say that I cast doubt on your assertion jason, or was challenging you to any sort of a bet. I even followed that if/then clause with the assumption the quote was true: “But [Vance] saying that is no reason to withhold your vote for Trump.”
If you were confused about what I said, you could have asked for clarity instead of going into your tirade against me. You can call me every name in the book if you want. But there is only one way to stop Harris, and that is to vote for Trump.
But given you allowed me to have the last word, I will apologize for responding to you in the way I did.
“I will make this comment. The divisions we see here at HHR are most likely being played out all over the country.”
-Yes, those who rely on evidence to back up their statements (conservatives, Republicans), and those who rely on their feelings (make the accusation about Vance as an isolationist, tell others to disprove it!)
Kamala is happy about the feelings-based individuals.
on to more important stuff. That chart above actually has Kamala winning North Carolina and every single swing state, and trending Dem, including Florida. Wtf

No free lunch.

The R party has been taken over by isolationists and populists.

Bottom line is there is a balance to strike between protecting our own interests in isolation and spending ourselves into oblivion trying to be the world-wide police force.
Vance might draw the line on that balance in a slightly different place than you jason, but that doesn’t mean he has an isolationist agenda.
If its just that Vance doesn’t want to spend in Ukraine, I would personally disagree, but I wouldn’t accuse him of having an isolationist agenda any more than I would accuse supporters of Ukraine funding of loving wars and wanting endless wars.

jason has not responded at all to the above.

No, I said a BIG person does the right thing and votes for Trump to stop marxism, even with reservations against either him or his veep. You aren’t going to try to stop marxism.

Yes, he does.
Call it platform, ideal, plan, program, etc.

VictrC,
The definition jason wrote is different than his reasons given for calling BOTH Trump and Vance “isolationists”.
He called Trump an “isolationist” back in 2016, and still does, despite the 4 years of his Presidency showing that was WRONG, in a big way.
Now he is calling Vance the same thing and giving as proof one sentence about Ukraine.
That is sophomoric and naive.

This is not hard to comprehend.
