National Review has an article on how Axios and Politico are basically spokespeople for the DNC:

“Something weird is happening at Politico and Axios.

In a market positively saturated with fawning and propagandistic coverage of the Harris campaign, two Virginia-based newsrooms stand out for their commitment to that mission.

For example, a brief review of Politico’s social-media feeds during the Democratic National Convention revealed a profoundly unserious and ideologically tilted newsroom, one whose copy contained all the unbridled glee and excitement of a teen fan magazine.

“In Tim Walz, Black women see the ‘right white man’ for VP,” read one headline.

Another read, “Mindy Kaling is proud to be Kamala Harris’s cooking partner.”

And yet another: “Hakeem Jeffries managed to merge a Trump diss and a Taylor Swift lyric on the DNC stage.”

“Watch out, Trump: Walz shows he’s not just Minnesota nice,” warned one Politico headline.

And another: “Democrats brought the Project 2025 book — and zingers — back.”

“Rep. Grace Meng issues a warning on Trump: ‘He will not stop at banning abortion,’” declared yet another.

Contrast this to the RNC headlines:

“A parade of Trump’s former GOP rivals bend the knee,” read one headline.

“The RNC’s closing argument: Trump, Trump Trump.”

“RNC has one message: MAGA, MAGA, MAGA.”

“At one time,” read a separate news blurb, “J.D. Vance’s lack of governing experience would have been disqualifying for a VP nomination. In 2024, Republicans saw it as a badge of honor. How J.D. Vance’s shocking inexperience turned into an asset.”

“GOP speakers are going after Kamala Harris,” read one headline from Politico’s coverage of the Republican National Committee.

Another read, “Nikki Haley tried to bring unity to the RNC. Some people booed.”

Meanwhile, reporter Emily Peck at Axios defended Kamala Harris’s price-control proposal last week.

“Don’t call it price controls: How price gouging bans really work,” read the news blurb.

  7. Vic, here it is again. And everything in the quotes was actually FDU admitting what they were doing. From the last thread:

That FDU poll showing Harris up 7 nationally over Trump? It turns out it was a PUSH poll. The actual Poll had Trump leading by 1 point:

“To examine the effect of race and gender on vote choice, an experiment was embedded in the survey.

In the survey, before being asked who they were supporting in the Presidential race, respondents were given a list of five issues, and asked which ones were important to their vote. The issues included Tax Policy, Immigration Policy, Climate Change, Abortion and Foreign Policy. But not all respondents got the same list. In addition to randomizing the order of the issues, one-third of respondents were given “The Race or Ethnicity of the Candidate” as the last issue before the vote choice question, and one-third were given “Whether the Candidate is a Man or a Woman” as their last issue. The remaining one-third got all five of the issues, in no particular order.

This survey experiment means that we can compare the voters who were primed to think about race or sex with those who were not, and because the assignment to these conditions is done at random, we can be confident that any differences between the groups are a result of the priming, and not other factors. The effects are enormous.

Among voters who were not primed to think about the race or sex of the candidates, Harris and Trump are tied (47 to 48)”

Funny how when its a leftist pollster and the GOP candidate leads by 1 point, they call it a tie.

  8. So Fairleigh Dickenson University found Trump leading nationally by 1, but they also found that if on election day, there could be a dem operative to guide each voter who steps into the booth reminding each voter of specific talking points, they can get Harris up by 7.

Maybe each voting booth will have a picture of a candidate.

Kamala, dressed in golden flowing robes, will be on a white horse, have a halo around her head, and surrounding her will be hordes of people in venerating poses. The background will be rainbows.

Trump, dressed in prison garb, will have red horns coming out of his head, and will be holding a spear with a dead bloody puppy recently impaled. The background will be storm clouds and lightning.

    CNN is really a joke.

I was looking for Fox Business to see how the DOW was doing and stopped at CNN because they were talking about Trump’s visit to Arlington to honor the 13 dead.

But it was actually a “question” to a Dem congressman “should Trump be doing this sort of thing to divide us” and of course the Dem said “no, this is disgusting….

Then they had a a “guest” who was asked the question “If Trump continues to go downhill in the polls, are R candidates going to disavow or even oppose him” and of course the “guest” said “Oh yes, you will see a lot of Rs abandon Trump”.

Then the question was “Kamala stellar fundraising, is that going to make a difference”….”oh yes, it is mostly from small donors, Kamala will flood the airwaves with ads and have a big advantage”

So all the questions were loaded so they could get the expected answer. Pravda would be proud.

Due to uncertainty regarding whether this office has authority to act under Code Section 45-10-4 in response to these complaints, we have sought the Attorney General’s advice regarding the application of the statute to the letters. We will respond following receipt of this advice and further evaluation of the letters.” Obviously, the ethics complaints are complete GARBAGE. They just want to eliminate Members Janelle King, Janice Johnston, and Rick Jeffries because they are bravely securing the 2024 election. There’s no way the governor has the authority to remove them because he did not appoint all of them. He got to appoint one person, the state house and senate picked two, and the two major political parties picked the last two. The governor may be able to fire his own appointee but he didn’t appoint any of the three brave members In conclusion, Democrats are in panic because Trump will win Georgia due to the election integrity reforms of the Board, and now they are trying every dirty tactic to stop the changes from being implemented. State owned grocery stores…. worked so well in the USSR…

Chicago could fill its “food desert” with a three-store network of city-owned grocery stores for an upfront cost of $26.7 million, a consultant has concluded.

The new 200-page report from HR&A concludes Mayor Brandon Johnson’s plan to open a city-owned grocery store is “necessary, feasible and implementable.”

Necessary because volatility in the grocery market has led to a wave of consolidations and store closings concentrated in South and West Side neighborhoods.

Feasible because the city need not become a store operator, but instead could act to limit the risk for a private operator.

Implementable because the city’s “significant land ownership, funding tools,” storage and “community engagement capacity” makes it “well-positioned” to provide “support and resources to an established operator.”

Lets fix our own country first.

I say this because I know who you folks are and it has been this way for years. If you dont support every neo-con war, you will be attacked. I just dont engage in the back and forth over it.

However, the RFK Jr. and Tulsi endorsements are HUGE for Trump. They will likely be the very small difference we need in the swing states to allow us to win the electoral votes necessary to put Trump back in the White House.

“Jill Stein, the presidential candidate for the Green Party, will remain on the ballot in Wisconsin, the state’s Supreme Court said, after the court declared a Democratic technical challenge to her ballot access moot on Monday.

The three-page order, left unsigned by members of the court, represented a significant victory for Ms. Stein’s third-party presidential bid, as the Green Party had been disqualified from the ballot in Wisconsin in 2020. The presence of Ms. Stein — a minor left-wing candidate — on the ballot could also pose a risk to Vice President Kamala Harris’s prospects in Wisconsin, which has been won on razor-thin margins in recent presidential races.”
