  2. last night my laptop op fell of the trash can in the garage and landed with a thud. It must have done a 180 degree flip and did a flat belly flop on the concrete floor. BUT it showed no physical damage and appeared ok. I turned it on today and it says it is trying to correct errors in disc or some such. In the immortal words from Star Trek, “I think it’s dead, Jim.”

Oh well, my birthday is coming up in less than a month …

Poor Walt, has to sneak into the garage to use the computer lest his wife find new chores for him.

I understand, actually. My wife has this misguided idea that if I am on the couch watching TV or on the computer it must mean I am available for something like a conversation.

    Dems play to win….

West off the ballot in PA

“Commonwealth Court Judge Renee Cohn Jubelirer, in a 15-page opinion, sided with the Secretary of State’s office under Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro in rejecting West’s candidacy paperwork.

The Secretary of State’s office said West’s campaign lacked the required affidavits for 14 of West’s 19 presidential electors”

I think the demise of the 3 martini lunches was one of the great losses in American culture.

I can sometimes get a 3 tequila lunch in Mexico City or a 3 bottles of wine lunch in France in a business environment but the 3 martini “business” lunch in America is gone.

It is too bad. You can get a lot more done in a 3 martini lunch than in a boring meeting in a boardroom.

Actually, the 3 (or more) tequila lunches in Mexico City start at about 3 pm and end around 6 PM. You are then expected to go back to an office and discuss more business.

It’s not for the faint hearted but I have done my best to rise to the occasion.

Ok, ok, i know now some of the decisions made were not optimal, GFYs.

  21. hason, laptop is a Lenovo. Had some mi or troubles with it a couple years ago and sent it off to Lenovo repair in TX. Came back all fixed and with a brand new outer shell.very small cost for repairs and no charge for new shell. My biggest complaint is that it takes longer to get it it up and running when you first turn it on. (They told me when I bought it that slow start was iys biggest negative.) I may have had it for 8 years or more. Time for a new one

the good thing is that I backed up all my chapters of my book in the cloud, have them saves to my ea accou nt and can also download them from. Q: Why was it that Kamala Harris was able to so easily inherit the mantle of “Dumbest Senator in the Senate” after she was elected in 2016? A: Joe Biden had retired from the Senate in 2008.

  32. If undecided voters had brains, and were paying attention, they might notice several things that would help them make up their minds.

First, Harris lacked the leadership skills to tell the antisemites in her party that the Democratic Party is not racist, and prove it by picking Shapiro to lock down PA. But she crumbled under pressure.

Second, RFK came to Harris to see if he could work with her, and she refused to even give him an audience. Her entire campaign has followed the same steps as Biden, suing RFK, lying about him, and treating him with contempt. So RFK goes to Trump, who knows how to work with people and get things done. And so now they are together.

Third, if Harris was the second coming of Christ, why can’t she sit down for an interview with ANYBODY and string together nouns and verbs to explain her policy positions?

Fourth, If the Harris campaign was supposed to be all about joy, why was there so much hateful rhetoric at her convention?

Fifth, If Harris was so talented, why didn’t she get anywhere in the 2020 Democrat Primary?

But most undecided voters have no brains, and won’t pay attention to any of these obvious questions.

  33. Does anyone know yet the specific list of ten states where RFK will get himself removed from the ballot? I imagine there might be some states where he will stay on if it seems to hurt Harris more. I know there is PA and AZ, and I saw somewhere OH and TX, and if true, that’s a bit disappointing, because those states were not in play.

I was thinking the list of ten would be AZ, NV, GA, NC, PA, MI, WI, VA, NH, and MN.

Democrat activist judges removed him from the ballot in NY already, and were threatening the same in DE and in NV.

  34. oh I did find this. And it confirmed the Nineveh News that broke earlier this week about Dems turning this around and trying to FORCE RFK to stay ON ballots:

  38. Programming note. I have updated the averages on the HHR Aggregator to reflect the change in numbers where the previous poll included Trump vs Harris vs Kennedy, but they also polled just Trump vs Harris. I switched to just the Trump vs Harris numbers.

When they polled the full ballot including the others like Stein and Oliver, I left those numbers alone.

In1995, my wife and I shared a cell phone. Whomever had to drive for work or traveled kept it. It had a pull out antenna. You could text one character at a time with 3 letters/numbers per number on the phone. Of course, we couldn’t text each other so only 1 of us had the phone.

So it looks like Trump survived the Biden coup, the Dem VP pick, and the Dem convention, all wrapped up in an MSM love fest of huge proportions. Still to come the debate and the sentencing

At worst he is tied with Kamala. This is a far better situation than he was at this time in both 2016 and 2020.

    FWIW…

“It’s probably worth about 1 percent for Trump and that 1 percent could be everything if it’s in the swing states,” Luntz said during his Friday appearance on NewsNation’s “On Balance” with Leland Vittert.

“In the end, the reason why Kennedy was drawing 10, 12, even as high as 14 percent is because he was taking votes away from Joe Biden,” he continued. “Joe Biden’s gone. Kamala Harris has replaced him, and [Kennedy’s] vote collapsed down to about 4 or 5 percent and what’s left is a Trump vote.”
