I don’t want people to leave but I won’t beg anybody to stay. DW, Vic and I are working on ways to reach a broader audience. DW is masterful at compiling polls. Vic is a steady voice of reason.
Vic and DW have the same access I do. They can lock me out if they choose just by changing the password.

MOSCOW, August 19. /TASS/. Moscow will provide assistance to any foreigners who want to escape the neoliberal ideals being put forward in their countries and move to Russia, where traditional values reign supreme, according to a decree signed by President Vladimir Putin.
Under the document, such foreign nationals will have the right to apply for temporary residence in Russia “outside the quota approved by the Russian government and without providing documents confirming their knowledge of the Russian language, Russian history and basic laws.”
Applications may be based on the rejection of their countries’ policies “aimed at imposing destructive neoliberal ideals on people, which run counter to traditional Russian spiritual and moral values.”
The values are listed in the foundations of Russia’s state policy in this field, while the Russian government is expected to compile a list of countries imposing unhealthy attitudes on their citizens. The Foreign Ministry has been instructed to start issuing three-month visas to such applicants as early as in September.
In February, Putin supported the idea of Italian student Irene Cecchini that Russia should ease entry rules for those who share traditional cultural and family values. The head of state agreed that each case requires an individual approach.”

Democratic Chicago City Council Alderman Raymond Lopez has said he believes the DNC is aimed at pandering to their base, not at “recruiting new voters”. At least for now, the polling certainly indicates that he is right. There is no bounce. It’s early, but nothing. Nada.

Yeah, its not a DNC of joy, its a DNC of hate.
Its a product of them spending way too much time talking to each other, instead of considering the voters they need to reach, so they get so wrapped up with themselves, they believe their own lies, and that all the country sees it the way they do, and their problem is just the lack of getting the message out. So they trot out one speaker after another with just hate and animus.

For context, Obama drew D+7 (2008) and D+6 (2012) electorates. In 2016 it was D+3, and in 2020 it was D+1.

okay, looked it up and YouGov says they polled 531 Dems, 450 Independents, and only 387 Republicans. And THIS is a great opportunity to point out the absurdity of Red Racing Horses blog, because if you go there and point out this absurd party ID in the YouGov poll, they will shut you down accusing you of un-skewing polls.

Multiple sites are reporting that RFK is dropping out and endorsing Trump. They are also saying RFK is looking for a spot in the Trump administration such as director of NIH. It remains to be seen, though, how much such an endorsement would help Trump, other than indicate how another democrat (turned Indy) is dissing Harris because she is such an horrific candidate
