  1. one point of clarity on the methodology around what numbers to use when polls supply different scenarios and samples.

I always use likely voter sample compared to registered.

When they have Trump, Harris, and other, I use that over the Trump, Harris, RFK numbers.

When they have just Trump and Harris, versus the full ballot, I use the full ballot, but I count all the misfit numbers as one Other number.

This way the list of polls is constantly Trump, Harris, and other

  2. Good ad by Hovde. Unfortunately, Baldwin is likely to win unless something strange happens and Trump wins big in Wisconsin.

  12. RIP Jack Russell and Greg KIhn. Over the last few years, I’ve made it my mission to go back and listen to my favorite artists from the 80s … before they pass on. This all started when Eddie Money passed in 2019 and I rediscovered his music from the early 80s.

Rediscovering music that I literally hadn’t listed to for 30 years, incredible.

My current playlists include Billy Joel, Phil Collins, Motley Crue, Journey, the “80s on 8” channel on Sirius XM, among various one-hit wonders.

We are losing these greats every day. Celebrate them now while they are still alive. I’ll be going for a 3 mile walk soon, Billy Joel’s “We didn’t start the fire” would be an appropriate piece for today (and really any day).

    Big Joe
