The Pentagon told the GAO that since then, $2 billion more in overstatements have been found. As a result, an additional $2 billion worth of arms can be sent to Ukraine to cover the amount of aid approved by the Biden administration.

I grew up in Brooklyn, so not that familiar with that bronx area – were you near the Armory? My son’s friend moved near there when he made Bronx Science. Made for an easier commute to school. My son visited 1 or 2x. Friends went to Fordham, and used to have a yearly get together on Arthur Ave. Dominicks was my favorite, among some other great ones.

GF, those polls all show Trump doing much better with independents than he did according to 2020 exits polls for each state. He’s up +4 in Wisconsin, and +8 in both PA and MI with indies. That’s more than a double-digit improvement from 2020 in all three states. There would have to have been a significant partisan shift in each state toward the D side for these polls to have those topline numbers.

Yes, the battlegrounds have moved to blue and purple territory. If Rs don’t have to spend a lot of money in FL, GA, NC, etc. that does free up resources for MI, WI and PA.
It’s a more positive dynamic for Trump than 2020, no doubt. But then there is the MSM, there is ED, EV and ballot boxes and all the other st-ff.
This is why I wanted Biden to stay and Trump to pick someone else besides Vance. I wanted an easy win.

The one consistent fact is that Trump is leading indies in these swing state polls. According to 2020 exit polls, Biden won indies in GA+9, AZ+9, MI+6, WI+12, and PA+8. Such a significant swing in indies bodes very well for Trump on election day.

Mike, Harris wouldn’t need to be a resident of CA to hold national office. She could declare residency anywhere. In Trump’s case, he was not going to declare any residence other than Mar-a-Lago, so Rubio would have had to resign from the Senate and then change his state of residency. Rubio resigning was likely a nonstarter.

VP picks, even a questionable once like Vance, make very little difference in the end. Harris didn’t move the needle for Biden, he won on his own strengths (meaning, Trump’s weaknesses). Cooper won’t dent Trump in NC, or will he push any northern state in Harris’ column that wasn’t going to fall to her anyhow. Shapiro is a one note Johnny at best, can sway PA if it is super tight, but doesn’t add MI or WI. Same for Whitmer in MI. Harris will or lose on her own merits, and right now, the best she can do during the honeymoon phase is edging towards a tie.
Let’s see where this race stands after Labor Day.
