So far, its a slight edge for Trump that the Dems switched to Harris. And keep in mind that some of these polls, like Morning Consult had just polled during Biden’s final collapse that resulted in Schumer’s trip to Delaware to give him the facts of life.

The Economist/YouGov is in fact a good poll for Trump. Going back to January of this year, as twice in March, and once in June, they found Trump up 2. Otherwise, the consistently showed a tie, or Biden up one or Trump up 1.
Then after Biden’s Debate Debacle, they found Trump +3, but after the assassination attempt, went back to Trump +2
And so for Harris to start this poll with Trump +3 is not at all good news for her, as she is in the honeymoon phase of the transition right now.

jason, for what its worth, I am definitely hoping that you turn out to be correct on the prediction that Biden could not be replaced by anyone who would do better because the Dem bench is so bad. NY Times and others are out there saying they could do much better than Kamala, and Obama has not endorsed. But it does seem the delegates are lining up behind Kamala, so its sounding inevitable.

Number two, think about it, would you want to take your chances now, or in 2028 when you know there won’t be a sitting President running (if Trump wins).
