I am hand wringing, but giving myself the following advice:
AZ, NV and NE-2 are all it takes. GA is done. They are talking about Kamala as if she’s the second coming…this woman has been made to vanish by the most disastrous regime in modern time because she’s that bad. Think about that. The Biden presidency, which despite all his “heroic” claims, is as bad, if not worse, than Carter’s. And they hid her!!
She’s polling at, or below Biden (will most likely get a boost from the convention as well) BUT she is also the same woman who couldn’t get one delegate in the Dem race in 2020, and polled under 5% (generally under 3%) in her own primary. She’s a disaster.
They need to start painting her for what she is. A San Francisco Liberal who will bring California, and all its trash, to the rest of the nation. That’s the winning argument in MI, PA, AZ, NV, et al
BTW, While I am beginning to believe it will be Bashear or Cooper, neither of them puts their states into play, and carry no weight outside their state.

If its not Whitmer, and maybe Kelly, I don’t see them helping at all. I think the most that can be asked for is that they don’t drag her down, which is why Newsome is out. a Harris-Newsome ticket gets crushed…the rest of the country doesn’t want to be California.
I think Shapiro would help the most in PA, but hurt her enough elsewhere to be a wash.
Whitmer helps in MI and maybe WI, hurts everywhere else.

Harris’s flaws will be covered up by the glowing “media version of Kamala.” It will be spun to mythical proportions, while her actual role as CA AG and Biden’s VP will be whitewashed and/or downplayed. IMO, unfortunately, the Dem constituency seems primarily concerned with the letter by a candidate’s name rather than their credentials. I know quite a few of these people in CA, which is why I feel uneasy about Harris.
As for her VP choice, I think it will be Bashear or the Dem Senator from AZ.

First Vance event (rally) in his hometown in Ohio. It’s held in his hs gym with a capacity of around 600. Supposedly thousands more wanted to get in. The speech is articulate, humorous, and is hitting important points of the policies being promoted. He actually sounds more vigorous than he did with his convention speech. So far he seems like a good complement to Trump.

She won her last race for governor by 10.5%.

Bitter, I support banning Bunu because he was attempting to hijack accounts. His spamming did not bother me – I just scrolled past his garbage.
I believe adults are capable of screening out what they don’t want to read or don’t trust. I didn’t read Bunu posts. And, I personally don’t trust Gateway at all. How I deal with that is to not click on it. Not so hard, and doesn’t impact anyone’s freedom to post what they like.

Whitmer’s race with Tutor Dixon was with a neophyte candidate having little funding and name recognition, which may explain that spread of 10+. At the Grand Rapids rally last Saturday, though, people interviewed scorned her. Of course it was comprised of more conservative people, giving it a bias. However, an earlier poll revealed more people saying the economy worsened under her leadership than improved. I still think she would tank on the national stage due to her hypocritical, calculating reputation and stunts she pulled during the COVID lockdowns.

Jan, you conflate one thing with another. No one here said she would be a benefit nationally, in fact, I can point to you a number of times where I said she would hurt the ticket if on it, OUTSIDE OF MICHIGAN.
Judging her popularity in Michigan based on rally attendees is foolish at best, disingenuous at all times. A Trump rally is attended by only the most rabid Trumpsters, not even mainstream Republicans attend. A way to judge her popularity is to look at election results and favorability polls. Both indicate that Whitmer would win again in an election if it were held today. If she were on the ticket she would help in Michigan and maybe Wisconsin. NO MORE.
The fact of the matter is she has already stated she will not join, which speaks volumes.

That means that 59% of the population said it got better or stayed the same vs 38% who got worse. I’d take those numbers any day.
