Switching from Egyptian mummies to the news channels. MSNBC alternating between guests saying Trump is evil and Biden should stay in. CNN has a more diverse panel and pretty much expect Biden to be out soon.
Fox was showing Tucker Carlson’s speech. He said God is directing this election. I refuse to accept that nonsense. I refuse to believe that God would deem Trump worthy of saving from assassination but allow my niece to hang herself at 25. Back to the mummies.

The firefighter had a history and plan of saving lives. My niece was a social worker in a hospital for people with mental illness. She had a plan to help people, too. I will never place Trump above them as worthy of God’s attention.

When I first turned it on, I heard Trump say “this election should be about the issues.” and I smiled and shook my head in the affirmative.
The statement Trump made later where he said “I am trying to buy your votes. Yeah, I admit it” made me cringe.
Seems like Trump reads his speech a while and then goes off on a tangent or into some bullcrap banter. Then goes back to reading. STICK TO THE SPEECH, Donald.

To be honest, I do not think Trump is a great “programmed” public speaker. I don’t think he’s a great off the cuff speaker either. I honestly don;t know how he got this far.
I mean look at Reagan. The man knew how to motivate, how to drive a message home, how to make you feel like you were sitting in his living room and you were the only person he was talking to.

Walt, the thing is, in a more casual setting, he’s way better. He’s spent a career talking to people, and generally is succinct, and doesn’t wander. It’s why he’s a great retail politician, but can not handle the big stage, big tent defining moments.

I was hoping for something a little shorter, but I think he actually likes being in those settings, just rambling and talking about how he will help M A G A ! !
If people don’t like that, they have that other binary choice that we have seen for the last 3+ years, and even if Biden is replaced, the other Dem will not change a thing.
Trump is the candidate, along with Vance. I’m all in from now until November, and then hopefully I get the chance to critique Trump in his second term. If it is anywhere near as good as the first, that will be a good start for this country.

Just saw the clip … no kiss on the lips for Donald last night on national live TV. Melania gave him the old head turn “kissing on the cheek only” move. Their marriage is over.
I understand why Trump was so hellbent on running again. But I just think someone his age needs to enjoy his wife, family and the time they have left on this earth. Wonder if it crossed his mind after almost having his head blown off. He has a great family and ten grandchildren, a son who just graduated from High School. I just think if he wins… four years will not make much difference in the direction of our country.
